The Mus fragilicauda, or the sheath-tailed mouse, is a mouse found in two locations in central Thailand. They were discovered and documented in 2002, as published in Zoologica Scripta. It is the only known Mus species to lose its tail integument when handled. They are sometimes found with the Fawn-colored Mouse.
